    Description
    Mit dem F90 erschien 1986 bei MAN eine komplett neue LKW-Generation mit einer modern designten Fahrerkabine. Er löste die bisherige Baureihe F9 ab. Die F90-Modellreihe bekam die neue, aus dem Vorgänger weiterentwickelte Motorengeneration. Die Spitzenmotorisierung betrug nun 460 PS, was MAN vorerst die Leistungsspitze der europäischen Straenlastwagen einbrachte, und stieg später auf 500 PS. Die Modellpalette umfasste verschiedene Fahrgestelllängen und Achskonfigurationen. Dazu kamen zahlreiche Spezialaufbauten von Drittanbietern.
